Payson Community Garden in Payson, Arizona, began as an interfaith venture to provide individual gardens for people to grow organic produce for their use and to support the local area food banks with donations of fresh produce.
The Payson Community Garden was organized in February 2012 through the cooperative efforts of the Payson First Church of the Nazarene and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The Payson First Church of the Nazarene donated usage of its land while the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints supervised the construction project.
Payson Community Garden provides education and resources to our gardeners and the community. Each spring, we offer free public classes that teach how to garden in the Payson area. We provide a safe environment where gardeners can meet other gardeners, share ideas and help the community. We use no chemicals or pesticides – just secure, organic methods for bug, weed, and disease control.
Visit Payson Community Garden and join us in our service to the community.
Welcome to the garden!
